Ok, firstly, i dun have fresh milk in my fridge now. And i feel like drinking milk. Yeah… so late already, i dun think i shld drink it. But i feel like leh…
So i googled whether is it beneficial to drink milk at such late hours (now is 2am in the morning), and i found this ->
http://www.fitnessmantra.info/2007/02/15/5-reasons-you-should-drink-a-glass-of-milk-before-bedtime/
Basically, one prime reason is becos the protein in milk is in the form of casein, which is not so readily absorbed by the body, and it is therefore a low priority task. (OMG, our body does backend batch processing also, haha!) And so, it can be absorbed slowly in the night, when the body is not working that hard.
Yippee! Going to make a cup of ovaltine for myself :p, cya

It’s a saturday lazy afternoon. Exams are over, i’m alone in my room, enjoying the quiet moments with myself. A time i can truely reflect on myself, what i have done, whether it’s right or wrong, i have no regrets. A time i can truely review the people around me, whom i’ve known for long and whom i just knew. And all i see is just you, my dearest one, whom is with me for so long, more than half of my lifespan until now.
I’m gg swimming later, and i’ll be gg to see my dogs tmr.

So long nvr blog liao… Anyway, Me having fun at YC’s house last Monday.
V interesting game — Torres
It’s a complicated game, the objective is to built as high as possible and put ur knight on top, the player occupying the most number of castles win.
Another game, all time favourite, voted the best game for the past 2 years - Puerto Rico. A even”chim-me” game.

the objective of the game is to get the most number of victory points, and you’ll have to do that by shipping goods. So you gotta have buildings and plantations, etc etc. Tat’s a game to train your economic skills.
The buildings.
A short dinner at ZhengFa Seafood January 8, 2008

It was our new year eve dinner last week, me and my friends decided to eat at some place more accessible. Well, town is definitely out of the way, as we decided not to squeeze with the humongous fireworks-watching crowd. Going back home would be a problem. Nah, so we shifted our attention to the less popular western part of Singapore - Sunset way.
Sunset way is like a small Holland Village, there’s quite a few restaurants and a pub. Well, we actually intended to get some western food, but it’s fully booked cos of the new year season. Walking one round around the vicinity, we finally decided to go for some chinese food instead and Zheng Fa Live Seafood restaurant seems to be the premier choice around the vicinity.
Good thing we are quite early, and getting a table for 3 is rather easy. We quickly settled down and took our long sweet time deciding what to eat. And during this time, the crowd began to build up.
Maybe is because of the new year season crowd, the waitresses aren’t very responsive, and the cooking is rather slow. It took quite a while for the food to arrive at our table.
Ok, now we shall come to the food.
This is our main dish and primary motivation to eat there. Crabs! Woo! I love to eat crabs, especially Chilli Crabs! This one is really very nice, i simply love the gravy. It’s not too hot, nor does it have any sourish taste, perfect! One thing is for sure, it’s fresh. The meat is tender and juicy.
And for $34 like this, there’s quite a lot of the 3 of us. Not to mention their deep fried mantou. They are a must-have for chilli crabs, dipped into the sauce for a heavenly and sinful meal.
The mantou is really quite filling, just look at the inside.
Ok, here’s the other side dish we ordered - tofu with scallop.
Hmm…. this one is a bit salty. It’s scallop on tofu, topped with black bean sauce. I personally doesn’t like black bean sauce, but i think the texture of the tofu is very good. The scallop is fresh also, just the problem with the sauce.
We actually still got a fried rice but somehow, the waitress brought it to the other table mistakenly. Anyway, we are full already, so we decided to cancel it. Nevertheless, i still think the service is still quite ok, as the waitress and the lady boss (i guess) approached us to find out how we like the food. And not to mention that they are v polite (but v busy also).

It’s being so long since i wrote my last post. Man…. i was really quite busy for the past few months, working life is really hectic. My attachment is coming to an end in 2 weeks time. Gosh! Finally got to have more time for myself le. And sadly to say, it’ll be my last year in school this coming 2008. I really have to enjoy my final year. After that, i dun know when will i be able to enjoy my relaxing and enjoying life in hall again. I do really like the place so much, it’s like a long term chalet to me.
I do enjoy my attachment, cos i learnt quite a lot of new things - real business things which i wont get to learn in school. I like the financial freedom i got from working, but i hate waking up early in the morning and i cant seem to keep myself awake after lunch. So, my solution is to not take lunch. Well, not really totally dun take lunch though, i’ll feed myself some sandwiches, so that i wont get gastric. During this time, i’ll go gym to keep myself occupied. Yeah, i do love going to gym nowadays, got different programs and routine for me to choose from, can go swimming, jogging, body balance, body pump, etc etc. Hmmm after the end of my attachment, think i will want to go to some other more interesting classes.
Anyway, i started to attend some entrepreneur workshop recently, made some new friends and learnt a lot of useful things. They are showing this MTV clip which is really inspiring, and i do like it a lot. It’s a japanese song from the band Mr Children.

Met Sam, CC and Allan for dinner at Lau Pa Sat, and unknowingly ordered the 30 chicken/mutton satay set, believing it to be 30 sticks, which turns out to be 30 sticks of chicken and mutton each! OMG!
After that we went for a drink at Clarke Quay, and we found this place celebrating ocktoberfest, so we decided to join in.
Hall 2 Night Cycling : Exercise Rising Sun September 24, 2007

This is the 2nd year i participated in my hall’s night cycling event. Wee! It’s absolutely fun, the more i cycled the more energetic i become. Haha i dunno why.
I got into hall production committee this year as publicity, so for this event, i joined the hall prod team also, together with OG Luka as Bravo Company. Oh yah, this year’s night cycling team is Exercise Rising Sun. We are split into 2 groups of 3 companies each to reach our goal. So military yet so funny.Anyway, the theme is really not important at all. It’s only a story to start off with, and no ending….
This year’s route is from Hall to East Coast Park, via holland road and nicoll highway. Though the route is less exciting than last year’s, i really think it’s cool to cycle along the CBD area like nobody’s business. Haha
I even went past the place i am working now.

See all the super blur pictures, i took them with my handphone while i was cycling. Ha, am i a good cyclist.
We reached east coast before dawn, when the sky is still dark, hoping to catch a glimpse of the sun rise. Then as the sky began to lighten up, but yet showing no signs of the “bright red salted egg”, i thought there isn’t any chance liao. But then after a while, after the sky has already brightened up, traces of red light began to emerge among the cloudy horizon. And soon… we got to see our “Rising Sun” at last!

Yeah…. told u the story is not important at all, the JCRC ppl didnt show any signs of exclamation or continuing of the story when the sun is up. Except that the audience began to take pictures of the sun rise while the JCRC is trying to give away the medals for the inter block games.
Hope i will be there for night cycling next year….. my final year….. final semester!!!!!

Internship started July 14, 2007

This is the tower where i started my internship 1 week ago, it’s a bank btw. Nice place to work, that’s the kind of place i would want to be. In the centre of the city. Though i haven’t really got anything substantial yet, but i know i would.

I noticed something quite odd though. There’s a temple sitting right in the centre of this CBD area. Is that wasting of precious land? haha. It must be quite powerful to be able to continue sitting there.

I love this view! Makes me feel good and it’s now within a few steps from the building where i am working now. Gotta enjoy my executive lifestyle! Think i’ll go get a gym/yoga membership for a start! Hmm!
