As of the picture above, that is the mobile phone i’m using now, which i have been using for 2years plus. My contract with M1 has just ended, and i think i should go and terminate M1 and get a new telco. The main reason for wanting to terminate the damn M1 is because my reception in my hostel room is damn damn ultimate idiotic-ally bad. There are only 2 exact spots on my table where i can place my phone and still have some reception, so i wont miss the sms-es and calls. But when i pick up my phone to answer calls, it’s seriously cannot-make-it. Gosh, i gotta walk to another block to answer calls. Not that I have never raised the issue to the telco, but what i got for an answer is that the engineering team currently don’t have plans to make changes to improve my reception! So if you are gonna stay in ntu hall 2 block 5, you can go and change your M1 lines, or you’ll suffer the same fate as mine. Of all the 11 blocks in hall 2, only block 5 have a problem with M1 reception.

Ok, i need to change my telco, so i should be changing my phone too, since it’s the best opportunity to get one. However, not that i do not have enuf cash, in fact i even have enuf to get the good good expensive ones, but i don’t feel like spending the money. Anyway, i still like my current phone, i think it looks pretty business-y, the interface is nice and neat, and i like the one-push auto open function. There is this button at the top left hand side, which i can push it, and the clam-shell phone will just pop open in an instant. It’s pretty cool to me yah, haha! I won’t mind getting a new phone, and i also dun mind continue using my current phone. But i need to change my Telco!!!!

They both have items stuffed to people to make people pay, you gotta opt-out of them. SAF -> Pioneer Magazine and SAFRA membership. M1 -> Bye Bye Ring Tone, etc

The “eng” is “Nothing-to-do” in Hokkien. Well, i’m doing my in-camp training this week, and i’m just backed home cos tmr is weekend. Haha, good. I previously thought my weekends will be burnt.

Nevertheless, this in-camp is really damn eng, haha. Nothing much to do, only spent the mornings doing a bit of outfield training for a while then the rest of the day is  free. Cos they are focusing on the other group of people. Luckily i brought some story books to read, if not, i think i’ll die of boredom. :p Wish all my coming icts will be like this, haha.

I finished 2 books in this week! Harry Potter’s “Half-Blood Prince” and “Tuesday with Morrie”. Oh shit, now i can’t wait to get my hands on the last Harry Potter book, so addictive! I’m suspecting if Dumbledore will be alive again, cos there must be some reason he’s so trusting of Snape. I was thinking if his death is planned, and there must be some trick to it. Somemore, harry said he wont be going back to Hogwart’s, so what will be the outcome. Gosh! I want the next book before i go back for my in-camp on Monday!!!!!

Oh well, i’m backed home for nights off, having spent 3 days in camp. In fact, this 3 days i spent was really just wasting my time. Nothing much to do, spent the whole few afternoons doing nothing. Cos the focus of this ict is not on the role i’m playing, but to others doing the conversion course. Sianz….. lucky i brought along the Harry Potter book no 6 i bought last sunday, so that at least i got something to do - reading lor…

Still got lots of work to clear, but since i cant bring my laptop to camp, i gotta wait till i out-pro….

See the 2 stupid ultra big bags on top? I’m going for a stupid reservist in-camp training on the 25th this month, which is like 6 hours from now.

What’s so wrong about in-camp? especially a 2 week one? You need to bring so many things…. die die must take cab, but the cab cant even go directly to ur bunk, and u gotta walk a super long distance in. Idiot! WHY MUST SAF ASK STUDENTS GO FOR IN-CAMP? if working adults still got car, not much worry about bringing lots of stuff. I am only a poor student… You know why? Cos for students, SAF dun need to top up ur pay. They just give u the lousy miserable nsf pay and thats it.  Save money hor….

To be a singapore citizen, u better be rich, not even middle class. If you are rich, you can easily tahan all the increases, got car, in-camp also nevermind. If you are damn poor or maybe handicapped, then the others will try to help u, though it is still quite limited. If you are in the middle. Hoh! Hor say liao, you are the one being squeezed dry.

Ok, enuf of all these talk, i gonna go sleep le, need to wake up at 6am tmr to go the bloody shit camp. 2 weeks of hi-key training to go!

While searching the web at random, i came across something very nolstagic - Street Fighters!

Oh my! It’s something i’d always like to play during my primary school days.  Now, it’s available for free playing online at http://www.streetfighteronline.com. You can also download it and play, cos the online version really loads very long.

And btw, it’s more like Marvel vs Capcom, even though it’s direct name is Street Fighters. Got X-men characters inside!

But i don’t really like it, cos i always lose…… sianz :p

I haven’t been updating this blog for a week, cos i was having reservist training from mon to fri. Until yesterday, or in fact, till now, i’m still in the reservist mood = lazy mood, too lazy to update anything. This reservist training week is low key, and i got to sleep a lot. Yeah, i think i slept more than double than during my school term.  Anyway, the key objective of this 1st ICT is cohesion…..

Day 1:  Basically doing nothing, after inpro, check in to bunk, then briefing. And that’s it!

Day 2: Morning ippt, i failed by 1 pull up and 0.1 second for shuttle run. If only I’m 1 year older, i could have passed, cos i’d be CAT Y then. After which, nothing much, just lecture. Evening time got cohesion captain’s ball, and i scored 2 goals, hehe.

Day 3: Some revision and test for some simple demolition drills. Then nothing much that i can remember.
Day 4: Morning IPPT again! Heng heng i passed this time round, CAT X passed. So no more ippt for me until Nov 2008! Afternoon, we use eye power to see the nsf do some very siong vehicle drills, that’s it.  Got to stay out on that day, so i brought 90% of all my barang barang backed.Oh yah, we got cohesion dinner before we book out, good food, but why no beer? Haha

Day 5: Return store,  briefing, then out-pro!!!

Really nothing much, but as what oc said, the next 7 years gonna be high key all the way!! And my next ict is 16 days!!! Wah Sian!!!

Got this book from Memphis Music at Excelsior Hotel on Saturday. Come to think of it, i had being playing guitar since the year 2000, almost 7 years already! But still not much improvements…. Too lazy and not much motivation to pump up my scales for the past few years, so now i’m still stuck with the major, pentatonic, and a one style blues scales.

So as i was browsing in the gramophone at Capitol last saturday, my jazz mood kicks in, and i got this sudden urge to get something jazzy. Actually i was thinking of buying a jazz cd, but i feel that it won’t do much help in improving my jazz music playing. So i went over to Memphis, trying to look for something which teaches jazz conversion from pop. So i got this book you see above. Hopefully i can do better this time.
