Another Side of NTU March 1, 2007

Apart from all the Halls and faculties in ntu, there’s another side of ntu which really makes it a very nice place.

On a cool saturday afternoon, after having lunch at hall 11, i walked down the path to where the graduate hall and Nanyang Executive centre are.

I know there are condo-like apartments in ntu, but i dun know there’s this row of bungalow houses at the hill top, looks like a very nice and quiet place to stay.

Within walking distance from these apartments, there’s a restaurant over at the corner behind the swimming pool, which is also very nearby.

Just opposite the restaurant is the Nanyang Executive Centre Educational Wing, though i don’t know what’s it for.

And behind it is the Guest Wing, and this is where the new 24 hour convenient store is, right next to it.

The Sun - See the tables outside? They are selling ben & jerry’s ice cream as well as haagen daaz, so i think the tables are for people to enjoy the ice cream under the hot afternoon sun. And btw, they also have Angel’s Choice range of cakes. A good place to enjoy the afternoon after a nice swim i guess. The swimming pool is so near.

I just like the bushes along the walkway back to my hall.

And it also leads to a very uniquely designed building. It’s the building for the new Arts, Design and Media school.

The top of the building is a slope, with staircase by the side. It looks like it’s meant for students to lie on the grass and study, but so far, i haven’t seen anyone went up there to study, haha. Nevertheless, I’ve seen people go up there late in the middle of the night to chat, and maybe admire the beauty of the starry night. Btw, the night sky over ntu is very starry, making it the perfect place to watch the stars, provided it’s not raining….

That’s all of my little exploration!
