Some good news, lucas the labrador pup got a foster home! Haha, great! Don’t come back hor! Not that i don’t like Lucas, i’d love to have a pure breed labrodor around at ALL, but it’s definitely better for it to find a home.
Oh well, now that lucas gone, the only er….. “fit?” labrador around is labby. Ben Ben is too old and frill to bring for walks…
So i brought labby to the dog run, and of cos, only after my ah beng went out first.
My favourite pup around. We got there early this week, so while waiting for Raymond’s rice, i took ah beng out for a walk around the vicinity, the first time actually i show him around ALL. Think he might have lost some instinct to mark trees and lamp post, since he grew up totally in ALL since he’s very young.
Anyway, back to Labby….
It’s definitely a good decision to bring him out. He’s a trained labrador! Though he won’t go up the ramp, he can play fetching items.
I picked up the “donut ball” abandoned on the dog run, get labby’s attention and threw it. Yes! His one part smarter than Titan. Titan will run after the ball, get it, and when i call him back, he left the ball at the original spot he got it then come back to me. Labby is the typical lab, he’ll get it and bring it back to me!
Good Good! But after a few rounds, he got tired, ran halfway stop, cough a bit, tried to run somemore, but stop after a few steps, cough a while, then lay down and rest! So comical! Hahaha, anyway it’s 10 years old already, old dog liao. Somemore, he’s so……. so….. fat! How to run long? Haha.

See the dog at the centre? That’s rusty, John commented he’s the alpha male around. Hmmm…. Ok lah, maybe one of the more “alpha”, he bitten me ok. I still agree with qiqi, titan must be the alpha, cos i just saw titan chased away rusty when he comes to the table area.
Ricky, one of the most handsome dogs at ALL, and one good thing is he got a very mild temper despite his huge size, but he got a very puppy mentality. Wanted to bring him out for walks but always preoccupied with other favourites, maybe during cny bah…
Bambi, another pure breed, a fat cocker spaniel, haha.

We went over to the new ikea after pets villa, and i almost thought the one above is labby’s coat! Hahaha!
Anyway, brown has gone home for holiday. And Cathy told me Happy might be coming back cos she’s not behaving very “civilised” in her new home…. Oh man! It’s gonna be both good news and bad news to me. Bad part is next time don’t know who to bring first, Happy or Ah Beng? Then sometimes, i also wanna bring other dogs like titan, labby, ricky…… haha spoilt for choice huh?

It’s being quite a while since i written anything more “personal”, my blog has always been filled with more “audience-centered” articles, trying to get more hit rates, making me shiok. Good thing now i have quite a substantial amount of hit rates per day, not that it’s a lot, but it’s quite satisfying.
It’s 12.28am in the morning now, friday 26th January, feeling quite tired now. Want to sleep but i still got quite a lot of things to do. My tasklist is full of unfinished and unstarted stuffs, and still i’m wasting my time now writing this blog. See lah, too many things to do, now i feel like not doing anything at all. Or maybe i’ll do them after i finish writing this and go bath.
Tasks on hand –
1. Complete my WSS, doing the cytokine project for Prof.
2. Do up my practical-limits.com website, it’s way way overdue….
3. Do the changes needed to my previous free lance project, $#%$ finish already then tell me need extra things.
4. Add-ons for organisingspace.com, better layouts and google adwords to be added
5. Do up the animalloversleague website.
6. Study for CPE301, I’m far far lagged behind. I didn’t go to that lecture at all now, totally dont understand what the lecturer is talking. Wanted to study myself, but always pre-occupied with other work.
7. Finish the tutorials on the jazz guitar.
8. Finish the tutorials on the Web Design magazine.
I don’t dare to list down any more le, or maybe got some important ones which i forgot about it…. :p
It’s a long day today, lessons until 7.30pm, cos of the extra 2 hours Malay lessons. I actually haven’t got the module yet, cos the approval for overloading only came 2 days ago. They tell me there’s no more vacancies for the class but i can ask OAS to add for me… Nevertheless, i will still go for the lesson whether i got in or not, just want to take a new language, i think it lets me relax quite a bit.
Currently, my relaxing methods are not that relaxing to other people, i think. Such as taking a new language, though it’s extra 2 hours of lessons, they are quite enjoying, kind of leading my mind to other areas. Then going to meetings also, like fysk. I’m in the do it for fun, meet new people, do new things mode, so to me, it’s quite enjoyable. Anyway, I’m not the type of person who likes to do “normal” things, it bores me. I’m actually quite amazed of myself taking computer course, i’m not the person who can sit down for long periods of hours to do things. I like to do outdoor activities this kind of things, but contrary to that, i seldom do outdoor stuffs, except going Pets Villa.
Talking of Pets Villa, that’s another of my relaxing regime… Regime cause i’m going down every sunday, didn’t even want to join cg for outings, but i want to go there. Why? cause it’s much more easy and relaxing dealing with animals than humans, and i like outdoor activities. I just feel very relax playing with the dogs. It’s another miracle i’m interacting with all these big dogs. I still remember last time, during my secondary school times, i’m actually quite afraid of dogs. There was this little Pomeranian dog always sitting near the staircase where i must go pass to go home after tuition on sundays. Then don’t know why it always bark at me and run towards me whenever i walk near it. For quite a few times, I just had to stay at the corridor waiting for the dog to go back into the flat so that it wont chase me when i walk near the staircase, so funny, haha, considering it’s just a toy breed! Many times, i had to just dash up the stairs, and even climb up the stairs from ground floor to the 12th storey where i live. The dog is at 11th floor. Amazingly, i’m dealing with hordes of gigantic dogs every sunday.
Think i should stop here now….. Gosh! Work! Work! Work!!!!

Tiring Lab Session January 25, 2007

This is the first lab session for CPE 301 – Digital Signal Processing, a killer subject involving all the mathematical integrations, fourier series, fourier transforms, etc….. But hor, the lab session is damn boring lor!
We are supposed to measure the wave form generated for signals from various different settings, varying the frequency, duty cycles, sampling methods, etc etc…. My partner calculated altogether we have around 200 wave forms to capture! It’s super super super a lot lor! Just press some buttons, reconnect some cables, but lots of waveforms!
Lucky he got bring camera, we took down all the waveforms with the camera, to be printed out and pasted on the log book. Anyway, we didnt do everything, just sampled out a few to do, if not i think will do until midnight lor, haha!

Fei Yue Shi Kong’07 Seminar 1 January 25, 2007

I was involved in Fei Yue Shi Kong – a chinese song writing competition from ntu, as a main comm publicity. Last Wednesday, we just got our first seminar in ntu lt19, a song writing seminar conducted by Zhi Wen and Lester from VI Music.
At first, the turn up wasn’t very good, i think there are even more committee members around than the “true” audience. But luckily, more people began to turn up. Great! Should be lesson end late bah. Roughly 20 odd people turned up, a lot more than i expected, haha. After all, it’s a song writing seminar, and it’s in chinese, not the cup of the tea for most people i supposed. Didnt expect even Alvin and SK from last time J&B turned up too, really long time no see.
Think it’s really quite a good start. Great! now some pictures.

I don’t know if it is true, but according to http://mrlim.isthebest.net , a middle-aged man jumped down onto the Eunos MRT station track sometime today between 3-4pm. Then a friend commented the train delayed…….

This is the closest Pets Villa gets to become a villa!
Villas for dogs, with a swimming pool and a large patch of grassland for the dogs to run around, good life eh?

The “security guard” on duty, he doesn’t like intruders…. but he can only bark :p
Looks like Lucas is swimming in some lagoon… the water is so clear….
Nah, that’s the swimming pool at Pets Villa, and it’s also Ernie’s favourite place!

Nice pictures? They are not taken by me, but i did the website with php to manage these photos. Functions include uploading, removing photos, manipulating albums, creating and cropping pictures to thumbnails on the fly and commenting.
Though the current layout and design are not perfected yet, the barebone structure of the site is functioning properly well already.
