Thank God for the results! I got my first A in my university life! And amazingly, it’s the subject i don’t really expect it will turn out that well. Indeed, I hardly even attended much lectures, even if i did, i would be sleeping right in front, but i still scored an ‘A’ for my Operating Systems.
This is by far the best university exam results i got, and very much to the fact that i am a slacker in my studies. 2 B+ for DDP and Software Engineering, B for Microprocessor System and a C for discrete maths. I actually expect to fail my micro-p since i think i did quite badly for the paper, thank God i passed and even get a B.
Average GPA for this sem got 3.7, greatly pulled up my last sem’s almost disaster of 2+ GPA. Wah! Thank God, good good! haha

It’s raining all day long today, and i’m terribly sick of it!!
I just couldnt bring myself to work when i reached hall, stucked with letharginess all day long. Until night-time when i finally can’t stand it anymore, i decided to go jp for a walk.
Played with the cat while waiting for the shuttle bus, it’s late by 10 mins.
It kept rubbing it’s body on my legs, which as according to mohan, it’s marking me as its possession by putting its scent on me. I think it is due to the fact that i had put on some adidas fragrance before i came out, no matter how the cat rub against me, it cant get its scent on me. So it kept doing it again and again until it finally gave up and walk away…..
Brought myself somewhat “unconsciously” to the Life Bookstore. I wanted to walk out after taking a turn inside, but somehow or rather, i felt like staying, which let my eyes caught hold of this book.
I felt compelled to buy it, which is really quite amazing. I was quite a reader when i was in army, but had stopped it since after my A Levels, especially Christian books. It’s really being quite a while since i last read any christian books, and had really no intention of reading any anymore. Somehow, i felt like God asked me to get the book. Ok, i quite like how the book is written, the format is ok, font size is comfortable, topic is interesting. Yes, these are the criterias i will definitely look out for when i wanted to start reading any books. The presentation is the most important, i wont read any books with a lousy font size.
The other books at the same shelf caught my attention too, there’s a book about how Iran is related to the 2nd coming of Christ and another 5 languages of Apology by Gary Chapman. I almost wanted to buy the book talking about Iran since end times is a topic i am interested in, but somehow or rather, i felt like i heard a voice telling me it’s ok to get that book, only after i got the “Christians Going To Hell” book first and finish it. Hmm…. i considered for quite a while…. I decided maybe i should go to popular look around see if this thought will get away. “Maybe i can buy the Half Blood Prince i had being waiting very long” i thought. Walk thru Popular, but i just still get the idea i should get that book first. Oh well, i surrender, i finally bought it for $24.90 – half of my this week’s allowance gone.
After i bought it, i felt “liberated” to get the speakers i had been waiting for very long to buy. Looked around at the specs and cost at the pc shop for quite a while before i finally decided to get the Tatoo 303 from Sonic Gear.
Nice design, each satellite is 2.5W, the woofer is a mediocre 5.0W only. I bought it because the other alternative – the creative speakers is 2.0W each satellite. That’s 0.5W more for each speaker, somemore the design looks good, costs $23.90.
I just tried it, the woofer is like there’s no woofer at all! The sound is very treble, but i think it lifts my mood in this crazy wet weather.
Ok, after buying the speakers, the time is 9.11pm, 4 more mins before the last shuttle bus go off. I thought still got time, almost wanted to take a look at some clothes first, but feeling for a sense of urgency, i rushed off to the bus. Thank God! the bus moved off once i sat down. Could it be God planned? Hmmmm…….
I will write what i learned from the book in my other blog.

I just went for a massage yesterday, courtesy of my insurance plan. This is the first time i ever go for a massage, so when the person ask me when was my last massage, i felt like very “swa koo” :p
Oh no, worst still, i don’t quite feel comfortable with the massage, not used to it sia…..It’s a 3 combo package, a massage, then a honey crystal back scrub, and end with a steam bath.
Firstly, when the massage just got started, it’s still ok. Then later it’s getting a bit more painful…. Feel like the person was scrapping my bones. I thought i died and went to hell….and the little devils are torturing me by scrapping my bones from me….. argh……. :p Endure!
Secondly, the scrub is quite nice, luckily. The person put some honey fragrant soap on my back and scrub it. Ok.
Lastly is the steam bath. It’s in the shower area in the same room where i did my massage. It started quite alright, just that i afraid it’s not very good for my contact lens, so i covered my eyes with a small towel. But then, after sometime, i felt quite stuffy. And it’s getting more and more stuffy…… i felt i died and went to hell…. and the little devils are torturing me by burning me over a slow fire…..and the fire is taking away my oxygen……..
I gave myself sometime then finally i decided to off it. There’s 4 on-off buttons to off the thing completely. But somehow or rather, i managed to off only 2 of it. And the steam is still going on! Errr…. I tried again, then dun know how i managed to off 3! Then i tried once more, still cannot. Oh no, seems like there’s a sequence to off the buttons. Why didnt the person tell me.
Buay Ta Han, so i decided to take a shower first, with the steam still coming out from the vent! When i tried to off it again when i finish my shower, amazingly, i did it! Great, but the steam is making me sweat again. So bath again lor.
Nice experience sia….. haha. Massage not my type, i prefer to go swimming…. :p

I don’t usually go to pets villa on weekdays, but since i’m going chalet bbq later, so i thought i might go there for a visit.
As i was walking along the canal to pets villa, i see the sky and i think that’s it. It’ll sure rain big time, cannot bring dogs out le…
Even the sides of the canal shows the evidence of soil erosion during the past few days’ horrendous downpour
Then again, this reminds me of the camouflage net we use in the army to hide our tanks

Thank God, i managed to get to pets villa before the rain.
The dogs are super excited with my visit, they kept on pouncing on me all the while wherever i go. Lasted like around 10 minutes, i almost thought that they don’t recognise me, thinking i’m an intruder. Then there’s this new big dog, whom i heard is a killer breed in US, wanna play bite with me the moment i stepped in. Luckily he didnt chew off my arm.
Ah lian kept on pouncing on me.
“Dude, y r u here today?” Dinner, one of the vert few calmer ones until…..
Ok, it rained a while, like 10 minutes, and stopped completely. Thank God, can bring dogs out le. First one is Beng Beng!
Since his still considered young, i’m thinking of training him some tricks, like going up the ramp. And there i go to buy some treats to lure him up the ramp.
Cheap cheap biscuits, one dollar plus only, and i think it smells good. But then, this beng beng doesn’t like it. Ooi! Give you treats also don’t want!
One good thing i like about beng beng, he will respond by running back to me when i call him. But too bad, he doesn’t respond when i call his name, instead, he respond when i wave at him to come back, or i squat down when he’s looking at my direction. Meaning, he only respond to sight, and not sound yet. Maybe he doesn’t like his name….
Failed! Didnt manage to get him up the ramp. Next!
I wanted to bring shepherd, so as to boost my morale. He sure “guai guai” go up the ramp one. Then this stupid labby come and “ga jiao” my leash.
Think he boarding too long didnt go out for walks already. He pulled my leash, refusing to let go, which i had, in order to close the door preventing all the “go-out frenzy” dogs from escaping. He brought the leash into the kitchen to rest, and when i approach to retrieve it, he hold on to it tightly. Even Cathy couldn’t get the leash from him. So i think maybe i should just bring him out, with the leash at his mouth rather than the collar, unique huh? Before i brought him to the door, the guy working there ( i dont know his name) was feeding the dogs some canned food, and my dear labby let go of the leash immediately and rushed off for his treats………….
So i brought shepherd to the door….. and when i just opened the first gate, out of a sudden, dinner squeezed thru the gate from out of nowhere! And she stayed in this position, no matter how hard I pull her, cuddle her, beat her, pat her, push her.
She jus wants to get out..
So no choice, i had to let shepherd go back, and amazingly, he return home without any hold-back. Good Dog!

when i released the leash in the dog run, dinner changed completely! He became BREAKFAST!!! He got so excited and kept on running around like mad! And she’s one giant size dog charging around like a rhino! I had to “siam” when i see him running towards me, for fear he might lose control of his body and collide on me. I never see Dinner like that before, he’s just so active!
Good thing he likes the biscuit. And he played it like a ball! He’s just too excited!
He became too fast, i could hardly catch him on my camera.
And i managed to trick him go up the ramp to get the biscuit!
And i had to put the biscuit high up, if not, “Breakfast” will just get it from the side cos she’s so big.
She’s like so happy!
“Breakfast” drinking water to cool him down of his rigourous activities….
Nevertheless, i don’t like to bring him out, she doesn’t respond when i call his name. And it’s so difficult when i want to put on her leash again, she just doesn’t want to go back. Took me quite a while, with a few biscuits and throwing the leash down angrily, to get her back on the leash. And when she’s at the “in-between” gates, she refused to go back and remained in the previous position again. Took me like 10minutes or so to get her back home.
Next is titan. This titan ah, he’s getting more “pully”, not as “guai” le.
Funny thing is, he doesn’t seem to like the biscuit, but when he saw that i’m angry at him for not eating the treats, he’ll “guai guai” go eat the biscuit. Just that it seems like he doesn’t have the molars to chew the biscuit. Took him a hard time to finish one. Oh well, nevermind, forget about the biscuit!
I managed to “forced” him up the ramp, and hold on to the leash very shortly, so that he cannot come down. So that i can take picture…..hehe
I felt like i’m mistreating him…… :p
And he seems to prefer the grass better than my biscuits, but i see him chew on the grass like 5 mins, yet the grass are still intact, haha! I think he can only eat meat…..
When it’s time to go back, he didnt struggle like beng beng or dinner, he ACT CUTE!!! He “guai guai” sit there patiently thinking that i might let him go out one more time as a reward. But too bad, i’m late for the chalet already! Don’t come and act cute!!! Nevertheless, it’s much easier to get titan back.
All these while, when i was bringing out the dogs, this beng beng always wanted to slip thru’ the gates for another outing.
And he seems quite angry not able to go out once more. He’s like addicted to going out already! He squeeze his head out of the hole for the hand, he bite at the gates, he wanted to slip thru the gates when i opened it, but all no use. He tried so hard i felt sorry for him. Oh well, next time ba! Cya on sunday!
IHRG Weiqi 06/07 December 19, 2006

Haha! I’m playing weiqi for Hall 2 ihrg today. Our squad is actually quite pathetic, not much people wants to play, i think mainly because of the new Hall Allocation Scheme – no matter how many cca’s you’re involved in, they only count the one of it with the highest commitment. And i think weiqi is quite a game very few people knows how to play.
Today, we got our rec sect joining us as player 5, to complete the 5-man team. She just get a crash course on how to play weiqi one hour before the competition :p
Today’s schedule is quite xiong, 5 matches from morning 1030 to night 1030! Each person is given 45minutes per match.
That’s hall 8 function room, where the competition is held.
This is the result of my first match, I’m holding on to the black seeds, and i won, hehe!
But i lost the 2nd, 3rd and 4th match…….
Anyway, i’m not so keen with the matches in the afternoon. I was playing real fast, around 2 seconds per move on the average…. I’m more keen to join other people for daidee or bridge in between the matches…. :p
Nevertheless, i won the 5th match. Anyway, my first and 5th matchs’ opponents don’t really know how to play, keep doing mistakes, like i do. But i realized my mistakes after i put down my seeds, and my these 2 opponents don’t. hehe
So i won! But out of the 5 matches, my team lost 4…. and we still got 2 matches tmr….. sian….
Side Track a bit:
I noticed hall 11’s weiqi set is so cleverly designed.
See the portholes? You just anyhow dump the seeds in the container, and the seeds will fit nicely into the holes neatly. When playing, just put the container on top of the black lid you see on the right.
The seeds will pop up for easy access!!

Ok, next up is Ah Beng! I prefer to call him Beng Beng, nicer….
He’s growing big already, but he’s still considered a puppy!!! And i think this is also one of the very few times he went out. Look at him, just like a kid going to kindergarten for the first time.
He’s curious with everything.
And he seems to like the bushes
Rubbing to and fro at the bushes, like massage like that.
He’s a bit scared at first, and not quite used to the leash. But after a while, he’s pretty obedient with my directions. Just that he wont go up the ramp, scored 0 out of 4.
Got a big dog tried to approach him, and he’s pretty cautious with it, a bit scared also.
It took me quite a while deciding whether or not to release the leash on him. Anyway, this is the first time i’m bringing him out, i’m afraid that it wouldn’t let me leash on him later if he refuse to go back home.
He enjoyed it a lot!!! He’s sniffing and running around happily, so difficult to catch him on my phone camera.
But thank God he’s pretty obedient. He’ll happily run to me when i call him, scored 3 out of 5.
Good boy, next time i bring you out first.

It’s titan again! Cos he very guai mah, easy to walk also. Easiest is Shepherd, but daphne around, so next one is titan.
At first, i walked him to the long road beside pets villa, he’s a bit pulling at first, but fell to the command of my aggresiveness, hahaha! Walk him a bit, then i decided to bring him to the dog run.
He’s having a good run around the vicinity. He’s fast man! Build for speed.
I tried to get him do some simple tricks, like going up the ramp. Is that considered a trick anyway?
Out of 5 tries, he went up twice. Hmm….. Shepherd is 3 out of 3
He did this, dragging himself on the face, in circles. Issit a new way of doing facial?
Enjoyable outing for titan, but quite short also. Cos i got the next one in mind to bring…..

Ever since Happy left, i got quite a headache of who shall i bring for a walk. I used to bring Paintbrush out sometimes after Happy, but that fellow ah, very stubborn on where to go.
I want to bring her to the dog run, but she always wanted to go the other way and refuse to follow me. In the end, every sunday i just bring her out for around 5 steps and go back.
Wanted to bring tattoo, but she’s wont follow me on leash.
So i start looking around……..
at the field….. i’m ok with the dogs at the field already, but not familiar enough to bring them for a walk, and i dun know their names….
Eunice not around, the hong kong owner also not around, so maybe i can bring this show-grade (according to my standard) Yellow!! Nah, not too familiar with him also. Next!
Cyprus is male or female? I forgot already, but it is sitting so lady like!!! Cross it’s legs leh!!! Hmmm….. almost wanted to bring cyprus, then i thought of ah beng…., maybe can bring a puppy.
Also i see yoko, climb so high, not bad…. but this guy also very naughty….hmmmm later first, on hold.
Then i see titan sitting expecting something from me….. ok, i had been bringing him out these past few weeks, cos he quite good to handle. At first, he’ll try to pull me on the leash, but after a while, when he knew that he can’t pull me like other people, he will become obedient to my directions. A bit pai seh also not to bring him out….. so tat’s it! Queue No 1
