Recently, i can’t get to work after i reach hall after lessons. Die, like very tired like that. So i did a lot of other things instead. I went to the InterBlock Othello game yesterday. Then today, i went for Geyong Sub comm interview, but after i come back to hall, got this headache bothering me cannot work. So i went to the TV room watch TV, watching the Project Runway Finale. So tomorrow i got Interblock game again. But still in dilemma whether to go for the weiqi or the badminton, both around the same time, oh no….. Then Friday got geyong….. I dare not think of the list of things i had to do……..

btw, just now I come back too boring, saw this article in talkingcock.com which reveals why there is “hum” in mee siam…..

This is the first time i come across mee siam with hum, chicken rice with hum, and even nasi lemak with hum. Even got Hum-burger! Hum Pie! Wah xiao, too bad i don’t like hum.

I saw the news again, this time from mrbrownshow’s site. The first time is from CruzTeng’s blog. Mine, it is heard that pluto is considered not a planet. So being a curious cat, i tried to google why. From the search results i got, it’s actually not something new. From as early as the 1980’s, some scientists had already came up with this proposition. I couldn’t read the whole articles, they are just too much detail and too long.

Nevertheless, i don’t think it really matter if pluto is a planet or not. It’s been a planet since I learned of it until now. Pluto is a planet to what i think of it as. Even if it is concluded that it is not, next time if i tell any kids of the solar system, what can i classify pluto as?

A meteor? Why this one got name, others dun have? too lazy to explain.

A rock? How come this rock so big still can float?

A sun? It doesn’t shine leh.

Nah, for simplicity sake, pluto is a planet. Full stop. Don’t ask too much lah. Haha

 I’m lazy these days. I just want to relax.

I went to pet villa again yesterday. I love the place, it’s so peaceful and relaxing, keeping me free of all the terrible thoughts of the project deadlines altogether. I just like to sit there with all the doggies around me, enjoying how wonderful life is.

I bought a small packet of beef and cheese chewy to give the dogs a treat that day. A really small packet, smaller than pocky, but longer though. Definitely not enough for all the dogs. But i quite broke already, couldn’t buy too big packets. Anyway, this is the first time i bought something which Happy likes. Haha, good, now i know she likes softer things. Not only she, the other dogs also love it a lot. Got quite a few black dogs(which i stilll can’t name all except sweet girl) kept pouncing on me to get the treats, and also carrot, bobby, etc. Bobby almost bit my hands when he was too eager jumping up to grab the treats. Haha, the dogs there are getting fat, spoiled by us. Then later, Mohan also brought out 2 big packs of treats, not forgeting the other volunteer just fed them hot dogs, and they just got their lunch like 2 hours ago.

I know 3 more dogs that day - Max, Rocky and Betty. Betty got a serious injury, lucky the vet is around to treat her. She got a finger deep wound near her hind, and infection on the tail as well. Hmm….. is it a fight or is it an accident? Max is an old, white and grey dog. He’s a friendly chap. Rocky is one tall dog, a nice breed also. He’s white with some patches of brown at the ends and brown spots on his body. He got a nice atheletic figure and he’s very active. But i am warned, he do bites and he only listen to his owner.

I got to know some of the volunteers there that day. We even went out for dinner, and from next week onwards, i’m going to help up more, prepare the food, wash the containers, clear the shit, etc etc. I’m looking forward to it!

OMG! Since when school has started, i had been away from blogging for quite a while ( a very long while indeed). Not that i am very busy with work (i am a slacker anyway, haha), just that the first week when i am without hall, it’s been very tiring turning on my laptop again when i reach home. And while i’m in school, I’m usually with my friends, so not much time to sit down patiently doing all the photo cropping, posting pictures and writing my blogs.

Thank God now I’ve gotten my hall, and it’s hall 2 somemore, haha. Good good, i can now wake up 8 o’clock in the morning and stroll peacefully to my freaking early 8.30 lessons. My roomie and neighbours are nice people too, and have similar interests in some ways. My neighbour plays keyboard at Hark music cafe, and he even brought his keyboard to hall. Wah good, and we play similar genre of songs also - chinese pop. Last thursday, we even got a small jamming session at his room with me on the guitar, he on the keyboard and my roomie as vocals. A bit noisy also :p

Good thing now that i’m not in Attributes anymore. Cos as i’m staying in hall for 5 days a week, i would have very little time at home, so now, i can spent more time at home take care of my fish tank (once a week :p). Saturday after service can go fellowship with my cell group members, as i would be quite unable to do so on sundays already, because nowadays, i’m going to pet villa every sunday!!! HAHA. So really no no time. Shopping also no time. I’d been wanting to get some t-shirts for quite a while already, but since saturday service, friday cellgroup, sunday pet villa, the rest of the days staying far far away at the west side of singapore in my hall, jia lak, really no time sia.

Thank God for the good timing in shifting me around, i left attributes just on the day before my school starts, so i can have time to concentrate on my school work, which is getting xiong this year. I’m having only four modules plus one extra project module, doing micro-mouse, but the projects are really the killer types. First is DDP, the extra project module. It’s on embedded system, something i’m really not familiar with, and it stretches to 2 weeks after the exams! gosh! Then also the embedded system project, which again is something still foreign to me.

Next is the software engineering project, doing city map editor. I really don’t know why it needs the whole corhort to do one public bus system project, and 18 of us to do the city map editor. That hard meh? Ok, so be it. Then siao siao got 2 inexperienced people volunteered to be the lead developer, aka team leader. Then the lab supervisor just approve it without asking the class or considering others! Omg! Both i think are on Advanced Bachelor Programme, cos they are from the jc batch. Not that i despised jc people, but they couldnt have much hands-on doing and designing programming projects. One is singaporean, one is a foreigner. I see how they come up with the design of the system i cry man. Huh? one sub team just to do the menubar and toolbar? Le wu gau cho boh? Cannot lah. The foreigner guy couldn’t even speak properly, then keep mentioning what cpe203 stuff. Hello? you still stuck with doing java gui issit? C’mon, most of us already completed it last semester already, you now want to bring up the difficulties in doing your tutorials? Don’t make me laugh leh. Then the singaporean guy also siao siao came up with the plan together with him. He looks more zai than the other guy, and that’s all. Either he couldn’t see the complexities in the map part compared to the other subteams or do it on purpose, he wanted us five to work on the map ourselves, then say what he’ll be doing more on interfacing with other teams, and will do only a small part on the map. Then i wanted to pull shiva in, he also dont want. Idiot! but nvm, let’s see how he is able to perform.

Lastly, i just got my own webspace and domain! So i am now busy creating the contents i can put on it and try to earn some money with adsense. Hopefully i can come up with better ideas to cash my site soon, doing my free lancing, providing services, etc etc.

However, now i’m just missing my nice cold beers for the next few friday nights, cos my cg is changed to friday for the next few weeks.

That’s it! I better go to sleep already. Feels like my complexion is getting older nowadays with the lack of adequate sleep and exercise.

See this? That’s the program booklet of Music Express 12 last friday. It’s a chinese song writing competition organised by the ntu chinese society geyong.

The thing is supposed to start at 7pm, but 7.30pm we’re still queueing outside the auditorium. Wah! Felt like I am queueing for some super star concert, so long…… Lucky i’m going with Joe and his friends, if not sure bored to death.

That’s the package of program booklet on the seats, inclusive of a can of pokka coffee and phamplets from the various sponsors like music clinic, vi music and ai qin hai. Hmm….. can drink inside audi meh? Haha, who cares, just drink. Anyway, it took a while after we sat down until the show starts.

At first i thought the show is just emcee introduce the next contestant, followed by the contestants’ performance. I was wrong. The emcees spent quite a lot of time interviewing the contestants, asking how they got the inspirations, talking cock, etc etc.

The first few songs are quite normal, but a bit dull. But i think that’s how chinese songs are. They don’t focus on the variations in the music, but more on the lyrics and feelings of the songs. I feel like chinese songs are more to the type that will sound very very nice when listening alone, it really soothes the soul. But when i’m really in the mood for music, i’ll prefer english songs. Nevertheless, the next few songs offers more variations, got band, got jazz, got R&B, which really prompts me to want to buy the CD. It’s a worthwhile compilation i think, combines both sentimental soothing lyrics in some songs and more music variations for some other songs. $10 should be a good buy, haha.

Guo Song’s composition ’Lan Hao Ren’ is very nice, his melody is the easily remembered type, somehow, i thought of Andy Lau might sing his song, haha.

The event is also graced by project superstar finalist - he wei jian. Haha, his way of talking really like some young chap with some “hao lian-ness”, oops. Haha, no offence. But he sang quite well and will go on to promote his fellow musicians to the the music producers.

Altogether, it’s a really nice show, but it ends very late, 11pm! Oh gosh, this is boon lay leh, and i’m going home that night. Sian, missed the 179 when i was walking out, then the next bus came, but it’s single deck and too full to stop. Waited quite a while for the next bus, lucky i managed to get on the train to go back my place, else i gotta return back to hall.

Anyway, well done, music express 12 committee!

Yes, i’ve moved back to hall 2 since this monday. It’s good to be back, finally. Staying in block 9 now, where the pantry, tv room, study room are. Haha, very convenient! Today got block supper some more, haha. We got plenty of food here. Saved this for my roomie and neighbours who are away.

I happened to see this cat on the grass field while i was waiting for 179 at my hall’s bus-stop. It is walking solitarily and slowly , just like a lioness in the field looking for prey.

Once, it stood motionless for quite a while, observing into a particular patch of grass as if there’s some prey lurking around there. Just like a hunter, the cat stood.

Minutes later, it starts to try digging around, looking for a soft spot. When it finally settles down, it dig the hole a bit more and shits in it. Finishing its “business”, the cat carefully covers up the hole carefully.

I had always like cats. Yes, i do like dogs, for their friendliness and their activeness. But i still do and always like cats more. I like them for their solitary nature, for their wanting for love and pamper, for their independent attitude, for their hunter nature, for their looks, for their eyes, etc etc. I am just like a cat, if you doesn’t like cats, you won’t like me either.

Nah, I’m not having new puppies. It’s pet villa. Yeah, it’s my 3rd consecutive week of sunday visits to Animal Lovers League. I went there last sunday, but i only managed to find time to blog it down now…. sign…. Getting busy nowadays.

Anyway, yeah! It’s Happy again!

She’s my favourite dog there, and also the first dog i met. I took her out for a walk again, but this time, she insists on going to the playground. Over at the playground, i released her leash so that she can go play around more freely.

Nah, her basic instinct is not to play around with other dogs, climb up and down ramps or jump over obstacles. The moment i released her, she went to check out every tree and every corner of the playground immediately. Territorial dog huh? Haha. Until she met with a fat chow chow, who tried to check Happy out. The chow chow wasn’t any bigger than her, only much fatter, but Happy was pretty intimidated by it. So much so, she wanted to leave the playground asap.

So i took her for a small jog at our regular path. Hey hey, I am fitter than Happy! She couldn’t much keep up with my pace when i tried to go a bit faster.

And there are two new puppies! They were there since last sunday, a volunteer brought them in inside a box. They almost got adopted by someone else on the spot. But they weren’t. They are now in the same cage as where ah lian and ah hua used to be.

They are so cute and helpless. Toppling over their food, shitting inside their cage, walking over their water bowls, oh no…..

The black one looks gentler.

But this one is really adorable. Got someone says they look like chow chows….

Cute aren’t they? I am going there again this sunday. Maybe they will grow big enough to come out? HAHA

A new friend i know. He’s jacky. An old dog, long hair breed and he’s pretty handsome, just a bit “chow lau”. His one of the volunteer’s supported dog.

Lastly, this one is really adorable! Even when he’s a bit botak, haha. But his hair is growing out soon. I think he’s a maltese or shit-zu. His even smaller than the puppies.

The small dogs i see are usually quite fierce, but not him. His very friendly. I tried to sayang him, he likes it, and began licking my hands…. heehee… so cute……
