I wasn’t much of a soccer fan until the recent world cup. Caught the first match on channel 5, and developed a small liking for it, especially Germany’s actions.

After they were defeated by italy, i looked on for other teams, and what caught my attention was France. Mainly because there’re more well-know players, and with names easier to remember, such as Zidane, Henry, Viera, etc.

I preferred zidane more, for his coolness. Cos usually when someone scores a goal, they’ll usually celebrate it with some flamboyant actions, but not with zidane, at least in the world cup final and semi-finals, other matches i don’t know. He just walked off like nothing happened!

I support Italy in the final match at first, but after a while, i tend to side with the french more. Their actions are more offensive and they live up the game. Italy’s defence is fortified but not as interesting.

Then, the moment came when zidane head-butted marco materazzi. Hey, i think that was cool, acting the way you feel and not suppressing it.

Googled zidane and went to his site, hmm…. he looks good at the front page.

It’s in french, so i don’t get much info from there, except the pics. Nice logo too.

Went to a peranakan buffet yesterday for a logistics gathering, organised by james. The name of the restaurant is called “Chilli Padi”.

It’s just across Parco Bugis Junction, behind the bus-stop opposite Mos Burger. So what’s good there? Answer -> Price. With $10.80 for a buffet dinner, i can’t find a cheaper buffet.

The menu isn’t that fascinating, but altogether quite good. For a normal meal, they provide rice with five dishes, namely Asam Curry Ikan (fish), braised pork, chicken, cabbage and achar, that’s all. Quite little variety har, but the food is really good, somemore $10.80 only, whats more to complain? They also provide penang laksa and longtong if you dont want rice. Others include a variety of nonya kuehs, self-made rojak, green bean soup and cut-fruits, not forgeting the regular coffee and tea.

Well, at least we were all very satisfied with the good food. What’s more? It’s tk’s birthday on wednesday, so we got a little surprise for him.

We got him a shirt from espirit, with a nice little tiramisu cake.

everyone  Yeah, that’s all. And i am really really full after the dinner, so full i couldn’t lay my hands on the green bean soup. Looks nice, i will try it next time bah…
