Information Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don’t understand our partner’s requirements, or even our own. We all have a “love tank” that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

painted me Yeah, that’s me! Got myself painted for the ntu chc cheerleaders. The Sports & Recreation Centre in NTU got the chc ntu ministry people to help up in the cheering of today’s dragon boat race at Bedok Reservoir. So there i am, after cg. At first i tried to “siam” getting painted, but see all others get painted, “pai seh” not to put on the make-up, haha. But i didn’t regret doing it.

cheerleaders

And this is the crowd there! At first i thought got only a few kitty kitties of us, then came hoards of people coming from NTU! But mostly are china professors(i think they are) and their families. God Gracious! We got lots of balloon clappers to pump up our cheering! The atmosphere we created is a rowdy, energetic team! Everyone is very excited and ready to cheer under shengda’s lead. Not only that, we also cheered when the dragon boats rowed past us to get to the starting point, wah haha, very noisy also.food

Hey Hey, we also got cartons of tidbits and mineral water. Even supporters from other groups tried to “gop” from us.

clowns

Btw, the event is not only meant for tertiary schools, it is the “Prime Minster Dragon Boat Challenge”, so there are also teams from other instituition and groups like SIA, OCBC, also got teams from Brazil, England, etc. And we also have clowns! haha!

The prime minister finally reached at around 5pm. And there we are, shouting and cheering, even the prime minister came waving at us for a couple of minutes! And there you see our president of ntu smiling so happily, haha. Hey hey, remember to give the chc ntu ministry more support leh :p. Too bad i couldn’t take that picture, cos i am wearing the “lightning” makeup and ntu cheerleaders t-shirt, so i am supposed to cheer and not taking photos.

ntu dragon boat team

Hey hey, ntu won the PM Cup for both the male and female category!!!! Well, the female team was leading already, and we cheered them till the finishing line. The male team wasn’t doing as well from the starting point, but our cheers moved them on, overtaking the rest and eventually took the lead, and heads on towards the finishing line as champion. As usual, the side at the right side of the grand stand is extremely deafening, and that’s where we are. We are really the loudest in the whole vicinity, the most rowdy and the most sporty. Yea…hhhh….!

cheerleaders

Oh right, i discovered something great also. Previously, the photos taken from my handphone are always very blur, so i always have to shrink them to make them look better. But today, i managed to get some clear shots even from further targets. Look what i got!

grand stand

That’s the grand stand right beside us, although it’s very near, it usually appears to be quite blur for such a big target.

dragon 2

I stepped closer to the waters and to the side to get this picture.

dragon 3

This is a bit further.

dragon 1

And so is this. Amazing! It usually looks much blurrer and i would never be able to put these pictures at these size. It’s supposed to be 640×480, clear, but i shrunk it to fit into this blog column. I guessed my hands have become more steady and i finally know how to configure my phone camera a bit wiser for different types of shots.

Back to the cheerleaders. After the event, our bus captains sent the supporters to the bus back to ntu, while the rest of us tried to clear up the place.

bashing balloons

Haha, we got a bit of fun bashing the balloon clappers. And while we are still waiting for the bus captains to come back, we began to share lots of lame jokes, and eating the leftover tidbits. Got abundance man, 2 cartons full of it left.

ending 2

And that’s the last (but not least), dorcas and shengda took turns giving the debrief. Then after that, we went to Bedok to have our dinner. Haha, ate a lot (too much, in fact) after much shouting and cheering. Drank a lot of water also, trying to payback for all the tidbits i ate when i am still coughing….. :p

Bloated!
