I wanted to go for the blood donation today, but i forgot about it, ops. I reached expo at ard 2pm. Only when i saw the blood donation drive at hall 7 did i realise it, oh! So? Nvm, i was thinking that later can find time to go.

Ok, when i reached hall 8, hehe, almost everything is settled by alvin already. Haha, that's great. Then cherry told me, "we will be doing stocktake for books and sermons today. In fact, we will be doing it once every month." Huh…… again? Somemore today got 2 new titles of BS books. hmmm… i wanted to think of a way how to be immune to it, as in, get a system for my store, so that i can do stocktake easily forever and ever….. amen

So during svc, i think ard praise and worship time, then this idea struck me -> Have a checklist for every box on the box itself! Hmmmm…… great! I'm gg to implement it later. Thank God for the wisdom! Hee…

B2

Ok, so after svc, i began to carry out the plan, with the help of deming and alvin, of course. Hmm…. we din spent a lot of time, but we are able to finish it quite fast. Great Job. Thank God! I think it is very efficient, i won't need to do much for my b2 stocktake next time! No carrying out, count, putting back, arranging….. haha! Hey, btw, i'm not lazy, just that i want to do things the easier way.

Hmmm… then later i got an inspiration when i heard steven reading out the book/sermon title to key in for the stocktake -> After Faith, now what? hmmm…… hehehehe……. the answer is salim and susu (i'm using these acronyms to protect the identity of the people involved). hmph…….

Then after everything is finished, we went for a pigging session at Bedok Blk 85 hawker centre. Wah! ate a lot - big cup of sugar cane, bak cho mee, satay, big gulp… and it's ard 11pm at night! Oh no, i should be controlling my diet….. ok, i did! I didnt order chicken wings though i was tempted to. heee…. super full, that's y i'm staying until now to write this blog - so the food can digest mah…..

Ok, that's all. Thank God for a wonderful day!

Well, what was i doing all these while during this exam period other than studying? Well, a lot of time is spent on this -> MapleSea. Or rather, wasted. Haha, dun know how i get hooked on games again, especially this stupid type.

  185damage

Now, i'm a lvl 22 warrior, super lack of cash, cos all of it is spent on potions and armour. So any maplers out there in the "Cassiopeia" Server are welcome to drop me mesos, potions, items, anything will do, haha.

Thank God for the photos April 27, 2006

My deadline is tmr. I am currently working on this project - to create a monthly email newsletter for this car painting company. And part of it requires me to write a review for some good food recommendations. But now is the season for exams, so i can hardly find time to go get the photos for the recommended stall. Somemore, henry wants me to do from his list of legendary hawkers, don't know where he got from. So on the top of the list is this Garden Street Kway Chap. Hmm… and it means pig organs…yuck! For your info, i don't like boiled meat, especially pork, and even so for organs which i never touch. But that's not the important thing - the stall is located at Serangoon Garden, and i'm encamped here in Boon Lay, that's a whole 2 hrs journey for just one trip!

Actually i got a plan, since i'm heading to Bishan for tuition later, i might as well go down Serangoon Garden to take photos. Hmm…. the 2nd item on the list is a Hokkien Mee stall in Old Airort road. This sounds more edible to me, but it's further…. But then, i think i remembered news that the hawker centre there is undergoing renovations….. So no choice i had to stick on to Serangoon Garden. So sian…. i decided to try my luck again, altough i had failed the past few times trying to get photos of that particular stall and hawker centres.

If you try, you will know that it's not easy to look for photos on the internet. Firstly, the image search on yahoo and google does not support searching within a region or country. Meaning you'll get a lot of junk results. Secondly, the images are usually not properly labelled. Even there is the photo, but it's not named or tagged to sound like what it is, it will be very difficult to find the right pictures. Next, my search text is something so "Singaporish", most of the time, i can't get a thing.

So when i tried again today, somehow, within a while, i managed to find the correct pictures of adequate size and quality! Yay! Praise God for it. I managed to get a few relevant photos to choose from. Haha. Imagine the time and energy i'll be wasting if i'm going to take these pictures myself. Great! Thank God once again!

After cg today, me and my cg members went to the hawker centre at marine parade centre for lunch. And as usual of course, it took quite a while before we settle down, wait this wait that. Nevermind bout this. And as usual, we don't know where to go, then richard say he needs to go Parkway cut hair, so we might as well accompany him. While waiting for him, we went to coffee bean and …… stone. Sian…. Ok, so i decided not to waste time stoning there and left myself to shop around.

The Gramophone at the basement attracted me. parkway gramophone

One thing about gramophone - they're into Jazz, so am i. The listening corner is real cool, there's this large sony cd player which fits in 15 cds and there's a model of a human head on top of it to put the headphone.

 headphone headset

So i spent the next half an hour indulging in some free jazz music, haha. I give 5 stars to the design of the shop, it looks really cool. There's a large plasma tv playing James Blunt MTV, and right in front of it is a sofa for you to sit down to watch.

sofa

Great huh? But seems like nobody is thick-skinned enough to sit on it, haha. Wanted to buy some CDs, but too bad - i'm broke. Nevermind, wait till i get my next pay. Hmm  So after that, i got a thirst for literary materials, so i went over to the MPH there, but it doesn't satisfy me. The environment is not as condusive and there isn't much variety. So i decided to go down to Borders. Hee…. got hooked on to quite an interesting book entitled - BuzzMarketing.

 book - buzzmarketing

It's quite a business book, teaching about marketing through word of mouth. What interests me is how the book layout it's content and the examples it used, david and goliath method, kiwi airline, american idol. It's pretty interesting and I spent around 15 minutes browsing thru' the book, nice one, learned some new things. hee. Hmmm… seems like the Da Vinci code movie is cooking up quite a stir. There are a lot of different coverings of Da vinci code book on display almost everywhere and this few new books - Gospel of Judas, The lost gospel - don't know how come so coincidence people just found the "lost gospel" written by Judas, ha! Then there was this book - The Jesus Dynasty - i read the intro - It sounds like some kind of add-on for the da vinci code book, talking about Jesus' "lineage and business". I do agree the front part of da vinci code smells a bit like real, but the ending is totally ridiculous and idiotic, how come people really took it like it's real? Gosh. making such a big fuss out of it - hmmm, i think it's just a good business opportunity. Some fascinating story telling the whole way that the whole christianity is a big cover-up, of course everyone will be interested, and you see money rolling all over.

book - the lost gospel book - the gospel of judas

Oh… and there's this 20% off for the business books…… I want to buy the buzzmarketing book… but too bad, no money. Nevermind, after 1 May i will have the money, ha.

Lastly, saw a quote in a book : The proper office of a friend is to side with you when you are wrong. Nearly anybody side with you when you are right. ~ Mark Twain

Today i woke up at 10am! Wow! That was one of my rare days, i seldom allowed myself to wake up that late. It gives me a headache whenever i woke up later than 10. So after some wishy washy routines - bathe, brush teeth, shave, check email, read news, it's 11.30 already. Great, i missed my breakfast. It's lunch time already. That's the main reason i woke up late today - i'm left with 7 bucks till friday, better cut down on spending. Luckily, i still got some instant noodles, hot dog and bread in my hall. That's it, my brunch. Good, save money. Actually, i shouldnt be so broke, i earned quite a lot last month - got money from the newsletter, wsa pay and tuition. Don't know how my money slipped away so fast, die…..

I tried to focus myself on my computer for quite a while, but very soon, i know i cant. I'd never made it indoor at somewhere considered home in the afternoon, especially if i woke up late. I have to surrender to this fate. Ok, so i went to hall office to submit my withdrawal form for May. I'd rather spent the money in Orchard. But i really missed my comfortable solitary haven hear in NTU. Too bad, i no money, else i'll sure stay till the end. Pray i can get back hall 2 next sem. I'm aiming for block 9, so i can have easy access to the pantry, ha. So after much contemplating, i finally decided to set my last day in hall on the 31st of May.

Then i went to join Samuel and CheeCheng in library 2 to study. But i guessed i've got too much time, actually not so - my paper is on the 3rd and 4th, and i haven't touched them yet. But i just want to take it easy. I managed to finish 1.5 chapters of my lecture with a lot of movement (as usual), going to the toilet, surf net, read newspaper, read comic, go tea break, etc etc.

Yeah, around 7.45pm, i finally got my body into the gym again. Spent the 1 hour doing 3 sets of "assorted" workouts. But that's not my goal, i want to get my feets on the jogging track again, gym workout only makes me bigger. Exams and projects make me fat! Got to jog away all the excess flesh. Well, that's it for today, i got to get back to work, need to finish my java program for extracting email addresses.

My Fish tank April 20, 2006

I rescaped my tank 2 weeks ago. Below are the pictures.

tank1

I’d removed my old, dying ‘windelov’ and add in two new stocks. Btw, windelov is a fern with split “fingers” at the tip of the leaves. It is quite hardy and suits well in my low-light, zero-C02 system. In addition, i also have a new plant - water sprite. Well, i’m still in the observing stage, i dun know if it can withhold like the windelov or die away fast like my previous elodea. But i did see few small parts of it floating on the water, but i suspect it’s the work of my herbivores fish, …maybe, i guessed. See how when i get back on friday.

Other than that, i relocated the long piece of wood from the side to the back-center, strategically positioned diagonally across the tank. I think it enhances the triangle shape of my formation, and it really looks better that way. Lastly, i created a small cave at the back for my black ghost, knowing that my new plants are too dense for them, and took away quite some space off their favourite spot near my power filter.

After a long while of projects and exams, i finally have the time and energy to come back into my literary world of thoughts.

Well, after my Maths 2 paper (let's not talk about it), i head on to Bishan for tuition. But while i was still on my way near somerset, priscilla's mum called me to cancel the tuition…..$#%%^$*( Well, my tuition starts at 7, and she called me at 6.40pm; but nevermind, i did tat too often also….. ops!

Ok, so i just conveniently alight at somerset and went window shopping. My first target is the gramophone at specialist shopping center. It's really being a long time since i went to Orchard, i din even knew the gramophone there is no more le, sigh. So i just walk along orchard road, sightseeing, windowshopping. I lingered around Heeren's and HMV, but sadly, i dun have money to shop…. left with $10 for the rest of the week…..sian.

Then i went to Taka. After some more window shopping, i drop by Kino for a little browsing. I saw a book that quite interest me, entitled - The Search. Book - The Search It's a book about Google, how it got started, how they get going, the problem they faced and their prospects. I spent quite a bit of time reading bits of the chapters in the book, quite like it as it's in my interest field. Hmm… i'll put it under my covet list.

I spotted another book - Why do men have nipples. Why Men Have NipplesIt provides answers to a hilarious list of stupid questions. However, i din spent too much time on it, read a few pages and went off. It's does interests me, but not my type. I'll covet it for my leisure time, haha.

That's all, i should be back to work~
